Here at York Cycle Hire we offer excellent quality bikes, including helmets, detailed local area maps with detailed marked routes, panniers bags, locks etc at very competitive prices.

We provide bikes for individuals, families and groups and as we are located right in the centre of York just moments away from the city's riverside cyclepaths cycling in York couldn't be simpler!

 York is a wonderful city, but so many tourists and residents miss the amazing countryside right here on our doorstep. You can cycle from the centre of York to stately homes like Beningborough Hall or the Archbishop of York's Palace or Selby Abbey without having to worry about traffic or parking and you can stop at any number of cafes and riverside pubs that you wouldn't know existed if travelling by car; and as the Vale of York is so flat it is ideal for beginner cyclists or those who just want to take in the scenery at a gentle pace.

N.B. From May-September we recommend that you book bikes/tours a day in advance due to high demand, but this is not always necessary.

Bike delivery is available, but will normally need to be booked in advance and there is a small fee of £5 for this service
